Outdoor Candle Chandelier Turned Coffee Cup Planter

I found this lovely piece at a thrift store with all its jewels in place. I have been on a search for an outdoor piece to create for my potting area.
Also while on my search for tea cups, I found these lovely floral tea cups .25 cents each(chandelier $5.00) non electrical.
To assemble candle chandelier, loctite outdoor adhesive was used to adhere my cups to chandelier. This takes a few minutes to seal. To get a even better seal, I used a coin to place on top of the candle insert to make my cup and adhesive stronger.
With my cups in place and sealed to candle chandelier, I choose to add one of my favorite plants.
Because this will live under my roof line, I can control the water intake because of no pre drilling into my cups. I have grown these in other cups by just adding water to keep moist . Now ready to hang!
With just a sturdy hook added , it steals the show to my new upcoming outdoor addition to my cottage,(Addition Pictures Coming Soon!).

How do you keep the plants alive?? I'm thinking potted plants need drainage. Love the idea but I'd insert candles into the cups for outdoor evening ambiance.
