Landscape Undertaking in NJ!

We purchased a neglected "fixer upper" in NJ back in 2001. I envisioned an interesting space, with a unique deck that would blend into EP Henry pavers for the hardscaping, round steps rather than angular, and used cut-down mailbox posts for the railing balustrades. It was our little backyard oasis!
Rear of our house...untouched (except we had already replaced the windows.)
House after painting, hardscaping and steps...(clothesline-gone!)
Plantings in the retaining wall...
King Neptune added a great water feature and serenity.
Landscape lighting and inground sprinklers finished.
Our dog loved to hang out in the garden!
Down the winding path from the front...
Little grandson on the steps--we used cut down mailbox posts for the balusters instead of spindles in the railing for a more chunky look.

Hi Gail-thank you for your kind comments. Yes, we did have a landscaper come in--we had in-ground sprinklers and alot of lighting done. The landscaper did all of that himself, in addition to planting all of the many shrubs, trees and plants. Something was in bloom all the time and it was quite pretty. We are doing our present home in steps, not a big project like that one, but the house in the pictures, being a fixer-upper, allowed us to afford the updates.

Thanks so much, Jenny. I tend to like stuff to be just a little bit on the unusual side. Happy designing!
