Family Project: Turn a Used Pallet Into a Sexy-Leg Coffee Table

Advanced
With a little creativity -- and a power saw -- you can turn a used wood pallet into a family-friendly coffee table.
Start with an untreated wood pallet.
Remove the nails.
Decide what size table you want -- then cut boards and re-nail.
Everybody gets a say!
Especially Mom ... who wants a coffee table with sexy red legs.
THAT'S what I'm talking about! Click the blog link for more pics and details.

Seeing this beside the train set on the floor made me think of a train table. Turn that the finished table top over. Install the legs on the opposite side. That will give you a low table with edges for use as a train table for the child's toys.

Excellent idea and outside in the summer, for sand. It might not contain the sand forever but it could be at play level instead of the child(ren) sitting in sand, ugh!! Even if some sand filtered through any cracks, rain would also. Easy to cover from the neighborhood cats, as well.
