Front Yard & Retaining Wall Updates

When we moved into our home it had 3' high thistles, random hastas every where, and flower beds that needed a lot of TLC. Below are just a few of the projects we completed our first summer.
Retaining Wall: moved and transplanted hastas to the back and removed the rotten wood and replaced it with stone from Menards (Menards is a midwest home improvement big box retailer)
Front Yard: Removed the bushes that were over grown and replaced them with smaller, more contemporary looking bushes. In front of the windows we added bushes with some color and removed and transplanted the remaining plants to the back yard. We also added mulch to all the beds.
That summer we also painted the house and changed the 50 year old windows, half of which were painted shut.
