I have an 1890's Tiger oak barber chair I am getting ready for nickle plating. My question is I have the trim ring on the bottom round piece off and I have drained the hydraulic fluid. How do I get the round ring in the top of the tank off and the metal flange round ring that sits on the round tiger oak pieces and around the tiger oak round base wood.

Hi Carole, it's actually a nice cow hide with an Alligator pattern pressed I to it.. They do this allot with leather so they don't use real Gator.. Kind of different ..

As I recall, 'gator can be hunted during a designated season...don't know if this is every year or not.
