How to Fix a Door That Sticks

by HomeSpot HQ
Do you have a door that is constantly "sticking" in the jamb? If all the screws are tight in the hinge, try adjusting the hinge knuckle. It is much easier then redoing the jamb or sanding one side of the door.
Door won't close because the house shifted!
Use diagonal cutters and a hammer to loosen the hinge bolt.
The hinge was clearly not balanced with the house.
Use a pliers to align the knuckles on the door-side hinge with the wall-side hinge.
If needed, use shims to properly align the door with the jamb.
