This is a small oak dresser I picked up for $25. Should be perfect for storing linens or (fill in bank here:_________________).
Solid Oak with worn finish and missing hardware
Original Dresser - yuck! (I hate oak... haha)
I lightly sanded all surfaces, cleaned and primed before applying two coats of Behr Chic Taupe
Painted two coats of Behr Chic Taupe then dry brushed Dutch Boy Rudimentary Beige over that
For the top, I painted two coats of Behr Whiskey Barrel and dry brushed with the same beige as below
Closeup of drawer details
I decided to patch over the existing hardware holes and switch to knobs. I set them in place to get a feel for visual placement. There's a good tip on Google that says drawers wider than 18-inches should have two knobs, each placed approximately 1/6 of the drawer width from each end.

Not the best quality Oak! The grain went all over the place. You brightened it up and gave it life! Great Job!

@Chairished Furnishings Back in the day, people wanted to show off wealth and pronounced grain showed richness. Your look is great. You'll make some bucks :)

Looks great! The color is very appealing and changing the hardware enhanced the nice trim detail. You did a great job.
