While on a layover in Amsterdam I had a whole day off so I took the train to visit Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse, The Netherlands. Keukenhof covers nearly 80 acres and boasts over 7 million bulbs. After spending a whole day walking the grounds I believe it. If you want get inspired for your next spring garden, Keukenhof is a great garden to visit for tips and ideas. This spring nearly a million people visited the world famous garden. If you would like to read more about my visit to Keukenhof visit my blog at : http://travel.livedan330.com/listing/keukenhof-gardens/ and don't forget to follow us on Hometalk.
The gardeners at Keukenhof are masters at not only growing spring flowers, but also at creating amazing texture.
Keukenhof offers the visitor lots of different settings for gardens from full sun to woodland forest.
I had no Idea that there were so many sizes and shapes of tulips.
The grounds of Keukenhof Gardens are immaculate. The paths lead you from one spectacular garden to another.
It is almost impossible to go through a days worth of pictures to pick the best to show the variety of flowers at Keukenhof.
I normally wouldn't get too excited about a brown tulip. The gardeners of Keukenhof do a great job of combining colors and height and timing the blooms of all these flowers.
