Star Wars Boys Bedroom

Like almost all kids these days mine are obsessed with Star Wars! This used to be a cowboy themed room complete with a river rock fireplace and log cabin walls. But after a few years of abuse from 4 kids it was time for a change.
I started by painting over the "logs" with some oops! paint from my local hardware store. It had the paint and primer in one so it covered over my previous artwork really well. You can see how happy my son is with my "Walker" graffiti. Painted on with black acrylic craft paint.
I taped off one wall to look like you are looking out into space from inside a ship. I then painted it with a white paint. The window treatment was supposed to look like the death star. I repurposed a large cardboard fruit pallet lid from my fav' big box store. I cut it up and upholstered it in some curtain panels I found for $6. Bargain!
Next I went to work on the battle going on outside our ships window.
OOOPSIE! Spilled my paint water. Thank goodness for steam cleaners!
The battle had begun!
The beginning of Star Wars totem pole. I also found the blue star curtains in clearance for $5 each. I added some Star Wars fabric and ribbon to make them a bit longer so they would fit the closet opening. My boys were hard on the previous closet doors so we had to figure out a new way to hide all the clutter.
Yoda graffiti!!! One of the moons has a battery powered night light for late night trips to the bathroom.
The finished totem pole.
The finished battle scene!
Happy Star Wars Kiddos!
