Sewing Desk Into Kids Desk

I found this sewing desk on the side of the road... see how I turned it into my kids desk on my blog... http://www.ccmcafeeperspective.com/2013/06/sewing-desk-turned-desk-project.html Here are a few images! Worked with plexi glass on this project, I included some tips.
Here is the little sewing desk found on the side of the road. I painted it and added new hardware.
I covered wood with fabric to cover the big hole!
I used plexi glass as the protective surface over the fabric.
Started w/ liquid nails then drilled pilot holes then put a screw in each corner.
Here it is with the chair I did last week.

How creative! You could also use chalkboard paint instead of fabric. Might be good for notes or drawing.

Love your post. I have a similar sewing table that I want to use as a desk. I was debating between paint and fabric for the top and finally decided on a fabric. Just need to get the "top" cut at HD and get to work. Hope mine comes out as nice as yours.

@Tangiela Helem Mason good luck! It's so rewarding to watch it change right? Can't wait to see it!
