Upcycle Baby Wipes Box

I (Steph) keep extra work gloves in an old baby wipes box. Because I use gloves for a lot of projects, I wanted to keep the box out in the open which meant the box needed to look a lot better! Mom likes a challenge so I thought I would let her work her magic and make the box cool enough to keep on my office shelf.
I headed to Mom’s house to give her the assignment and she was ready to go! She decided to give it an aged look. We have used this technique before to make Harry Potter style spell books for Halloween.
Check out a video on our website to see this come together!
Materials:

- Baby wipes container

- Craft Glue

- Tissue Paper

- Silicone Glue Brush

- Twine

- Embellishments

- Spray Paint

- Silver Rub ’n Buff
Slather on the glue. This Rockler silicone brush makes it really easy!
To add a little interest, wrap some twine around the box randomly.
Some random mid-century metal piece mom picked up at a yard sale!
Crumple up some tissue paper and then uncrumple it!
Use the silicone brush to push the tissue paper down into the glue.
Oil-rubbed bronze spray paint--a favorite of ours!
Dry brush on a little (really just a tiny, tiny amount will work) silver Rub 'n Buff to bring out the nooks, edges, and wrinkles.
Check out our website for more details and a how-to video.

I have used baby wipes boxes as well as dog food boxes (they are longer). I make my own greeting cards, so I needed a place to put all my ribbon. The boxes being long gave me a place to line the ribbon up so I could see them clearly and I covered them with scraps of paper left over from making cards. Sorry I don't have pictures to share but you get the idea I'm sure. Can't afford to buy all that I need, so this was convenient. Gotta be frugal you know.

I love this idea, and it is a fantastic project. I would just include some organic baby wipes in it https://wotnot.com.au/collections/baby just to make it 100% eco friendly
