Thrift store, dirty old oak nightstand is now chocolate mint delicious! I wanted to share another Spit project. This one has General Finishes Java Gel base and drawers, and Unicorn Spit top and drawer fronts.
First chore was some serious cleaning and sanding. Look how dingy it was!
The old yellow finish .. Gone. Ready to stain.
The greens actually are made of green, blue, a touch of purple and white spit. Blended using the side by side swiping of colors going with the grain.
The drawers got a light coat of Java Gel, inside and out, even the backs. The sides got a nice rich coat of the Java brown.
The entire thing was topped off with wipe-on poly.. Lots of it! This thing shines!

Unicorn Spit is so fun to work with! I just wanted to share another rescued piece.
