Turn a Purse Into a Planter

Summer is finally here and it's been just fabulous to be planting flowers. I love to find unusual things to use as planters and when I saw this $1 wicker purse at a thrift store I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it... turn it into a planter. For all the details on this project please check our my blog post at http://www.thriftyrebel.com/2013/06/how-to-plant-bag-of-blooms.html
Here's my finished wicker purse planter.
All I needed was a purse or two, some plastic bags without holes in them, and some pea gravel.
Cut the bag to size and insert into the purse. Then add about 2" of pea gravel into the bottom.
Add the potting soil.
And add whatever plants you like.. and that's it.

I just brought out all my summer clothes and at the bottom of the bin there's 4 different kinds of and cloth purses. Not sure what to do with and don't want to get rid of them. Now I know what to do with them thank you for sharing. Can't wait to get planting. Enjoy the summer and of course playing in the dirt.
