Make Your Own Garden Focalpoint

On a local garden stroll down historic Summit Ave. in St. Paul, I was struck by the many times my eyes were drawn to focal points in the gardens we visited. I’ve read that there are two kinds of focal points in landscape design; natural, or alive, and un-natural, or man-made. The next 13 photos will show examples of un-natural focal points, that range from the small surprise that makes you grin, or on a grander scale, the area where you want to sit down and feel the beauty it creates.
