Vintage Summer Garden

I love to use vintage pieces such as my old bike in my garden. I love to incorporate old architectural pieces into the garden decor too. Here are some pictures of how you can do this pretty easily in your own garden. I love summer and all the pretty blooms and mixing in old and interesting architectural pieces to create some great focal points.
This is my old vintage bike I painted blue and then added sun loving flowers to the vintage baskets on the bike. This is an easy and sweet way to use something vintage for a focal point in the garden.
This is an old vintage door that I actually hung on my front door and then added a bag of flowers and a chippy garden sign. I love this old door acting as a frame for the flowers.
On my porch I used an old vintage picket fence to make this potting table. Took a bird house and placed it onto an old architectural post. Using the vintage items brings character and whimsy to the garden
I used an old garden gate to make this motif on my back deck. This gate actually came off an old vintage home that had beautiful gardens so I loved being able to re love this gate into my garden.
I used another old vintage potting shed door and hung it on my tree. The birdhouse is also sitting on an old chippy post. The old metal bike is another fun way to put potted plants in the garden.
I have been collecting old vintage watering cans and display them in the garden. They are ready for use and also pretty decor. The back drop to the old bench is an old headboard that I made into a cottage garden back to the bench.
This is an old barn door that was made into a potting table for the garden. I love the color and the how much space this gives me to re pot plants. Just adds some whimsy to the garden.
My husband is a fire chief so I put this vintage fire truck out into the garden to reflect a little bit of him into the garden too.
Sometimes you can bring your garden indoors too. I have this old vintage bike inside my dining room area heading out to the back garden. I love to take old vintage things like this bike and re purpose them into my home decor.
Well there you have it. Just take fun pieces that you love and incorporate them in with your summer flowers to make for a fun and vintage garden.
