Need more shower storage? I definitely did! There's nothing worse than trying to get clean while bottles and soap containers are falling on your toes. Instead of adding shelves or making a more permenant (read: expesnvie) change to my shower, I came up with a simple solution! I used a tension rod, shower baskets, and some curtain hooks to create more shower space. It's simple and space saving.
SUPPLIES:
STEP 1: Prepare your tension rod
STEP 2: Attach shower clips to baskets
STEP 3: Add your rod to the shower
STEP 4: Hang your bottles

Kimberly McHugh run the rods across the empty bookshelf to hang scarves, belts, jewelry, camisoles, bras, etc. Use two parallel horizontal rods to hang hats or shoes. You can run the rods vertically to hold books in place. Missing shelving--use the rods to hold baskets.

Won't those metal rings and clips rust with the moisture? I also use a tension rod in my tub/shower to hang clothes or other items I want to air dry. Place it in the middle of unit resting on the top edges. It works perfect! Use in Guest bathroom and leave it up until I have overnight guests. Easy to remove and put back up.
I use my main shower. It has a door. I think I can make it right, to do this. Just space the rod in shower more YES.
Great idea. I’ll definitely try it. Thank you. Your readers are suggesting using this idea in bookcases and cupboards. How would you use them in those places? I am not clear. Thank you.
