For those who haven't seen my other posts regarding this table, I have been one indecisive girl on this piece!

I finally decided to use my Velvet Finishes Luxurious (black) on the base and I am very pleased with the final result! I'll give you a few photos of the process, but you can check out the link at the bottom for more details.

Top stripped with Citristrip

Artwork started. I use MinWax Ebony Wood Finish stain for all of my furniture stained pieces.

At this point, I was done with the top and undecided about the base.

After much contemplating, staining, re-stripping, re-staining, I got to the point that I "thought" I was nearly done. But...... I was NOT loving it!

Some more discussions with friends here on Hometalk, and my friend Tammy from thetatteredrabbit.com, and I decided on paint! I used my Velvet Finishes Luxurious to achieve this beautiful color/ sheen. Followed up with COUNTLESS coats of General Finishes High Performance Water-Based Top Coat.

And Whew - DONE! No more decisions to be made!!! This one really had me second-guessing myself the whole way! If you are interested in the Velvet Finishes Paints, you can check them out here: http://www.velvetfinishes.com/shop.html I really love these paints. They are a no sand, no prime paint. And the colors are wonderful! On to the next project.... two Queen Ann style end tables. These are going to be very feminine! {at least THAT is the plan!} Link to this blog post on my website: http://www.mmembellishments.com/#!Not-your-ordinary-Library-Table-PART-2/c1kiu/575f1cfb0cf2d021c3fbf2c6
