Try saying that 3 times fast...
Rescued this small 2ft. by 2ft. pallet, near a dumpster, ready for the trash man...
Steps 1 & 2. I put on my thinking cap.. & added a couple scrap boards to fill it in. Painted the top 2 boards Blue.
Step 3. Lightly sanded the middle area only, where I'd be stenciling the letters.
Step 4. Lightly Rag swiped the paint on, in JUST the right areas. To make stripes for a flag. I wanted it to look distressed, so I used the paint sparingly.
Step 5. Used precut, wooden stars, from Hobby Lobby & painted them white.
Step 6. Adhered them with some wood adhesive after paint had dried.
It was starting to come together! I decided to let the elements age it the best.
Step 7. Stenciled on lettering using craft, acrylic paint.
Step 8. Capped off the 2 bottom pieces to make my flower box. And nailed them on.
Step 9. Lined the box with strips of coconut liner.
Step 10. Finishing touches...On the tip top, to hold my 2 flags, I used a 1/4 " drill bit & drilled down the depth of about an inch. On an angle. 1 on each side..

Filled it with flowers.
Before the festivities...
Take 3 galvanized buckets & hang them from 3 small cup hooks, screwed easily, into the bottom board. Fill them with plastic utensils, napkins, & flags for your guests.
Hope you enjoyed this simple, easy project. Have a safe 4th. of July. It's also my sisters birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBBIE! Luv U Always & Forever!
