You no longer have to go the inexpensive route and end up with something less than pretty!! Check out how to easily add color to your cheap plasticware for your next party or social gathering.
Step one, is find the most inexpensive plasticware you can possibly find.
You can get as loose or as structured with this easy paint project as you like. I did not tape any of my plasticware off, but using something simple like washi tape, you certainly could if that is more of your style preference.

i would stick the opposite ends in a container filled with sand to dry.

This a cute idea! One could also use it for designating kids own utensils. Gonna try this idea with my granddaughter, she's always up for easy crafting :)
