Daylilies

I love daylilies and sometimes I have to wait and see what it will bloom. Subtle differences in some of them make it such a surprise when I find a new variety!

I had beautiful peony garden in NJ but had to leave it behind when we moved to Jax FL. I was told peonies don't do well in Fl. Could I grow them in pots?
    • @Linda N I grew an old fashioned peony in a pot for 6 years when we moved to VA-never bloomed and when I put it in the ground a couple years later I finally got a bloom. I estimate the plant to be about 60 years old or more. I would try it. I would not use a huge pot and fertilize. You have nothing to lose. I would let it get morning sun or late afternoon sun but not the noonday hot sun. I do not always follow the rules and many times it works out so I never say never. good luck and Happy gardening!
