Create An Outdoor Fairy Garden With Your Kids

Go douse yourself with bug spray and head out into the woods for some foraging and family bonding time.
If you're looking for a fun family activity this summer, consider planting an outdoor fairy garden.
Purchase plants at the garden shop, or even better dig up your own ferns, moss and grass during a hike in the woods. Plastic toys, rocks, gemstones, shells and Dollar Store statues are great for attracting fairies.
Just be careful of bug bites...after you read my blog post, you'll definitely want to heed my warning.

pretty pretty...me and my granddaughter have been doing a fairy garden of some sort every year now for three years. I am getting a little more feeble so this year we made a small one out of an old kitchen chair i got at the thrift store for 2.50. Heres a picture

Love this idea! In the wetter, winter months we find "witches hair" on various bushes and trees on the local trails. Here's the "fairy garden" in our shop.
