As my three children were growing up, I always desired a birthday wreath to match my banner that I always put out on the porch. I never had time to ponder making it but I finally was able to do so. Now we enjoy it for their birthdays as well as ours and the grandbabies'!
It took me four evenings of sitting, cutting and tying to complete this project.
I began with sheets of felt (3) in 9 different colors. I laid the sheet horizontally and cut vertically.
Then I took those strips and cut in half.
I started tying the strips onto the wire wreath form. 1 Sheet of each of the nine colors I used filled 2 3/4 sections of the form.
Complete filling in the wreath form. Hot glue a party hat and curly ribbon bows coming from underneath the hat and you are ready to hang and CELEBRATE!
Suggested materials:
  • 3 sheets of felt of each color(I used 9 different colors)   (Wal Mart)
  • 18" wire wreath form   (Wal Mart)
  • Party Hat   (Dollar Tree)

Did you tie the strips on each of the 4 wire circles or only the outside rings? I can't tell for sure. Looks so cute! I am definitely going to make this! Thank you so much! :)
