A Perfect Wardrobe Makeover

This wardrobe had been in my shop for over a year. It needed a makeover but I just didn’t know what to do with it. Sometimes, inspiration is hard to come by for me. My husband helped me drag it home to the garage and after a little convincing, indulged my idea to convert it into a free-standing pantry.
I need a makeover!
I started with two coats of French Vanilla paint and then added a great furniture transfer. These are really so easy to use. If you have ever used a temporary tattoo, you've got this! You place this on your piece and rub with the stick they send in the package until it sticks and then you can peel the backing off. You do need to be a little careful because with a little too much pressure the stick will break. I cut it exactly down center so one half could go on the right door and one half on the left door.
Super easy to use!
After I applied the transfer, I used wax and aging powder to highlight the detail and aged with some sandpaper.
A little detailing!
Once I aged, I applied two coats of water based topcoat for extra durability. I added shelves that my husband cut for me on the inside and it was perfect to help me out with storage in my really small kitchen!
A few shelves...
This has been a great addition to my kitchen and the perfect solution to my food storage issues!
Perfect!

Were the shelves already in place? I have a similar cabinet, but without shelves. I could really utilize this type of storage---really neat, cool idea!!
