SUPPLIES


NOTE: We purchased a group of Fat Quarters (Pack of 18″ x 22″ rectangles) and used 4 of the 5 patterns given.) The dream catcher is very customizable to your own taste and colors.


Wood Floral Craft Ring 18″


Paint


Fabric


Hot Glue gun and lots of sticks


Chicken Wire aprox. 20″ square which will be cut to fit the ring


Wide craft sticks (we used these to hold the chicken wire in place)\


Thumbtacks


Wire Cutters


Small white clothespins aprox. 2″ long.


Braided Gold Trim to glue to feathers. Cut into approximately 11″ 13″, 18″ and 22″ pieces.


Cardstock for feathers


Feather pattern (Free download on our site)

Paint your wood ring.
Cut your fabric.
Hot glue it on as shown.
Add your chicken wire.
This takes a LOT of hot glue and some tongue depressors to hold it i nplace.
Cut out your FREE feataher pattern from our site.
Create your dangling feathers.
Fill your dream catcher / vision board with all your dreams and desires!

    Wouldn't it be easier to use a staple gun on the chicken wire instead of the glue? That's what I would do if making one of these. :-)

    It’s a cute project. The instructions weren’t complete as to how to do the “feathers”. You show the strips of fabric but we never see the bottom of the project in a picture. Are the feathers just cut out of poster board & then attached to the strips? Or something else? (It seems that the chicken wire would be more sturdy with staples.). Thanks

    This is a cute idea. I'm going to try this with my own twist on it (window frame and use it for the small paintings I do. Like the clothespins too!)
