Bright, White, and Light Laundry Room Makeover

When it came to giving our laundry room a makeover we needed to accomplish two things : 1) keep it cheap 2) use it to unify two very different color schemes from the kitchen and half bath. We decided to keep the room neutral with a light gray floor and white walls and use accents of green and yellow to tie in the two rooms it connects to. We wound up with a bright space that hints at industrial while still staying neutral. Find more before pictures as well as more pictures of the half bath on the blog.
Before and after from the kitchen. You can see the recently revamped half bath in the back ground.
We installed ship lap behind the washer and dryer to add more character to the room and then painted everything Vermont Cream by Behr.
The new reclaimed wood shelves and diamond pendant light add an industrial feel to the room.
We made the shelves out of our old playset and brackets we found at Home Depot.
Despite the fact that fact that I hate doing laundry this room makes me happy. It's an especially nice surprise when entering the house from the dungeonness of garage.
