Curbside Peacock Ombre Crocks

Kitchen Kelli
by Kitchen Kelli
We found the lidded crocks on the curb sitting all alone and very grimy! I cleaned them very well and then sent them through the dishwasher. In Michael's the other day I saw an endcap with some beautiful Peacock Ombre Home Decor. Instead of buying it I went to the spray paint section and bought Krylon's Glitterblast spray paint in Bronze Blaze and Sapphire Shimmer. What do you think?
I think they are beautiful!
These were nearly black with grime and grease when we found them.
They look lovely on my mantel I think!

No, it's not hard but you have to be ready to spray all the Glitter Blast at once. We turned them upside down and moved around and down to the middle with the bronze and then waited till it dried and turned it over and did the blue. You may or may not be able to touch up - there IS glitter in the paint so the spray thing is going to get clogged and how could it not? It think it would be best if you had a Lazy Susan to spin the pieces around on as you spray and pull the nozzle back (for the ombre look) but we don't have one so we just walked around and around it! It worked! I haven't posted it yet but we also spray painted a cow's skull and honestly when doing just one color of Glitter Blast, it went on much easier. :)

Love the colors. Great idea to "save" those crocks!

@Greenbeings Thank you so much! They still sit on my mantel and I get compliments on them each time new people come into the house.
