It is hard to believe that these beautiful flowers come back every year after being covered with snow and ice for nearly six month.

When is the best time to cut this type of hibiscus back? And, how close to the ground should I cut? thanks.

In Spring cut dead stems of last year's down to the ground with hand pruners. The plant dies all the way back each winter even in the mildest of climates.
