This dresser was much too short, so legs were added to it, it was painted and distressed, planking was added to the top and new glass knobs for the top drawer.
This was a used dresser that was well built, but the color was wrong and so was the height.
First thing we did was bought new legs for it, primed them and added to the bottom of the dresser.
The dresser was first painted in ASCP French Linen, and then was painted white (see blog for details on this white). After it dried, a fine sanding block was taken to distress where it might have aged with time. And then a clean wax was put on.
I also decided to add planking to the top to bring some natural wood into the room.
We added glass knobs to the top drawer.

Legs are often the first thing I notice on furniture, they can make such a difference, as in this piece. Sometimes they are short and stumpy, sometimes long and curvey but always nice to look at and IMHO can make a piece masculine or feminine when combined with the right colours.

I love legs on dressers and how I ended up buying this dresser in the first place, I haven't a clue...LOL!
