How to Hang a Light in Ten Easy Steps!

Medium
I will tell you how I replaced my old out door light. I have never done this before so this was a great do it yourself project that only took me a few minutes to do. Anyone can do this! I will show you in ten easy steps.
I recently needed to replace my outdoor lighting on my home. Here is my new light.

This is the old light. It was probably over 20 years old.

Gather a screw driver & needle nose pliers.

Make sure your light is off & go the extra measure & shut off main if you can.

Just remove your old light.

Disconnect each wire attached to the old light.

If it is wiring in an old house you might just have two wires. In newer homes there will also be a ground wire.

Hang your mounting plate for the light easy with the screws provided.

Match up your wires color by color & connect by twisting them well.

Twist on a wire cap to the end of each wire which will be provided in your light kit.

Now mount your light fixture on the mount and screw in

Enjoy your light
