Fall Mum's Add Instant Color!

Are your planters beginning to look worn out but some of the plants are still doing ok? You may find that the 'filler' in your planter is done now but your 'spiller' is still looking great. At our nursery we specialize in Fall mums... click on the pictures below for the best way to use these Autumn beauties! Be sure to follow me on Hometalk to see the designer planters I have in planned for fall! http://www.hometalk.com/sowanddipity
A vignette I put together today at the store using fall mums, hay bales and an antique wagon wheel, visit: http://www.milnervillage.com/
'The Mum Field' we will grow over 400,000 mum cuttings! When shopping for your mum, choose one that is mostly green with just a few blooms to show you the color... then you will get a longer season of show.
This was a summer planter that had blown out annuals. Fresh additions were millet, a mum and a couple of loofah picks for some pop. See below for before and during pictures.
Before: The 'Thriller' Dracena spike was beat up and the 'Filler' geranium was blown out... but the 'Spiller' petunia and ipomea were still looking great!
Removed spent material to make room for a couple of fresh fall plants and left the 'spillers'.
