Picking the Perfect Paint

Finding the right color can sometimes be tricky. Here are 5 tips for making sure you don't regret the color (
-Use paint chips to find your favorite 2-3 colors
-Use the paint sticks and samplers like paint chips (they'll reflect the finish)
-Paint swatches on the walls to see on the color, finish, and texture look
-Check the colors at several different times to see how the light affects the paint
-Paint swatches at corners to compare different rooms
Paint chips are a great place to start but they don't reflect the finish of the paint or the texture of the wall.
Paint sticks are one better than paint chips since they will show the finish.
Paint is going to end up on the wall so what better way to test it?
If you're going to paint multiple rooms check the colors side by side.

I do faux painting, and it has been the best for me to paint a much larger panel to leave in a room throughout the day to check the color as the natural lighting changes.

I paint a block about 6 x 6 on each wall and make sure I put it where there is sun and shade. Also I get an extra color swatch and cut it and tape it under the light switch and if I forget or the next person who will own the house wants the name and brand, it's there.
