what did you use for the perimeter of the head board? my only thought is stair nosing to frame it in, but yours has the more square look i want to go for.

Roland - one more question: how did you attach the flooring to the plywood? Did you glue it? Nails? Thanks

What size nails did you use? Would 18-gauge brad nails be enough? 16?

I found one lonely box of this exact flooring - Special Order Return - and fell deeply in love. I, too, plan to make a headboard with it but I keep trying to figure out how to stretch the 7 boards ... and am thinking I might have to order one more box and pay full fare for it ... but I love love love the way yours looks and am now that much more inspired to get mine put together! Beautiful!! Thank you!

Yes, order one more. There will be some wastage because you don't want the seams to align vertically; just like on a floor.
