WE GAVE OUR BATHROOM A FARMHOUSE LOOK!

It was time for a change in our powder room, to brighten things up! After 10 years it was time to give this space a fresh new look. So my husband and I started the process of this, and we are so pleased with the outcome!
BEFORE
This was the way it was for almost 10 years, so first of all we started with removing all the baseboards, the window frame and door frame.
My vision for this space was a modern farmhouse feel to it. So my husband built a new window frame out of pine wood. We did all the board and batten out of MDF.

So the wall was done in MDF to give it the board and batten affect, and the baseboard was made out of it as well. I wanted them to be higher so we removed the old ones.
This is the new door frame made out of pine wood as well.
We are making progress, the counter is off and is being replaced with Quartz We had to wait about a month for that . For a small powder room it was a lot of sanding, filling small nail holes and painting and more of that again!!
I took off all the doors and drawers and painted them out in white .
BEFORE
We kept the mirror and I chalk painted it as well to brighten things up!
BEFORE
This is the outcome of our powder room so much brighter now.

We have quartz counter top in white and a new water fall tap!
I used Cloud White BM for the cabinet and the lower part of the wall. The top part of the wall I use Sonnet color BM.
Water fall tap installed.
The mirror looks much brighter along with the new light we got as well.
Painting the cabinets really changed the look, I just put new drawer handles and kept the knobs on doors.
Painted out in Advance paint BM Cloud white
The after is a fresh new look.
The new light we got from Home Depot !

Did you use anything to make the MDF water resistant? I know the smooth finish is easy to paint, but it is never recommended for use around moisture.
