Farmhouse Coffee Table Tutorial

Learn to make this beautiful whitewashed farmhouse coffee table! It's the perfect accent to add some farmhouse style to your living room.
The table measures 32.5″ wide, 50″ long, 19″ tall and is made the table from no. 2 whitewood pine. The table is basically two frames.
The top frame is covered in 4" and 6" alternating vertical slats screwed in from the bottom into the frame.
The bottom frame is covered in 4" horizontal slats. In the following image, the top and bottom frame are not yet attached. The legs are only attached to the top frame at this point.
The top frame is set aside and the horizontal slats are screwed to the bottom frame from the underside.
The bottom frame is then attached to the top frame by screwing into the turned legs.
The feet of the table are made of blocks of wood.
Next we mixed a glaze with Valspar Chalky paint to keep the paint from drying so fast. My husband brushed on the paint and I followed behind lightly wiping the paint off.
We finished the piece by brushing on a finishing wax. After the wax was dry, we sprayed on a matte enamel sealant.
The finished result is simply beautiful.
