Front Porch Micro-topping With Stencil and Stain

This homeowner and her contractor were looking for someone to do a stencil on their new front porch and enclosed fireplace room. To eliminate the possibility of the concrete taking the color different, we installed two coats of micro-topping on the whole surface. The stencil was put down and the dark border was also done in the finer micro-topping. The accent color was sprayed with an HVLP gun, the stencils were removed and the whole floor was sprayed with the light main floor color. We used a spray on primer and then installed a satin finish polyurethane to insure a good wear surface that would protect the decorative work.
The main floor stencil.
Accent border between the porch and fireplace room.
Looking from the porch into the fireplace room.
The fireplace room still needing baseboards and waiting on stained glass for the two windows.
The fountain, in need of river rock.
Suggested materials:
  • Elitecrete Thin Finish & Micro Finish
  • Smith's Color Floor Stain
  • BDC 9610 Polyurethane Satin

This is so beautiful, I want it on my floors, walls and everywhere, if possible. Thank you for sharing. Great job, well done.

Yes it holds up well to freeze thaw. This was sealed with a urethane for extra durability.
