Amazing Bedroom Makeover!

Are you looking to transform your son's bedroom into a bright and happy place? With a little creativity and our stencil designs, you can create a bedroom full of boyhood spirit and fun. Go ahead and give him a room where he can comfortably play and rest easily. Today we're excited to share a boy's bedroom makeover using one of our trendy geometric patterns, the Brick Allover Stencil. Let's take a look.
We'd like to introduce Donna-Marie L., one of our creative stencil fans and the loving grandmother of an adorable little boy. Donna-Marie's daughter had her second baby not too long ago and they are playing the bedroom shuffle game that parents typically play when they welcome a new child. The older child gets shuffled into a guest bedroom and the baby takes over the nursery. The guest bedroom was a relaxing space painted in neutral colors. Perfect for the weekend guest but not for the recently promoted to big brother. Here is what the bedroom looked like before the makeover.
Donna-Marie set out to banish those beige walls and give her grandson the perfect bedroom. The little boy loves fire trucks so she browsed Pinterest for ideas. After painting the room, Donna-Marie decided to add a pretty pattern to an accent wall behind the bed. Painted wall designs are a simple and affordable way to add pattern and depth to a room. She browsed our large collection of Geometric stencils and fell in love with the Brick Allover Stencil, a traditional faux brick pattern.
After the walls were painted and she had her Brick Stencil in hand, she was ready to kick off her stenciling project! She chose to paint the faux brick design in red and brown paint colors over the creamy white wall. She used blue painter's tape to hold the stencil in place while she painted the pattern using a stencil brush. A stencil brush allowed her to vary the color for each brick to help bring it to life. After painting one section, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition it to stencil a new section. She did this until the pattern was complete on the accent wall. For a project like this, we recommend using the clip-on stencil level to ensure the pattern was properly lined up on the wall.
Once the whole wall was stenciled, Donna-Marie moved her grandson's bedroom decor, including his firetruck toddler bed, back into place. Are you ready to see how it all turned out?
It looks like Donna-Marie read how How To Stencil Brick Tutorial on our blog at www.cuttingedgestencils.com because she certainly made this pattern look very life-like.
And here are the before and after photos. We absolutley love how this bedroom makeover turned out and we think this Brick Stencil brings the fire truck themed bedroom to life!

LOVE THIS! I'm addicted to stenciling. When the supplies come out, the cat hides. Although brick isn't my choice for my own space, I'm envisioning stone. Oh, yes. That will work! Thanks for the inspiration!
