If you've ever been in the market for a new pendant light - you know that they can be pretty pricey. I searched and searched but just couldn't justify the price when all I wanted was essentially a basket turned upside down. So instead, I started looking for the perfect basket!
Start out by finding a good basket that will work for your space. I was searching for my daughter's nursery. I checked good will and thrift stores until I found the perfect one!
Next you'll want to cut a hole in your basket so you can fit the light socket into it. If your basket isn't super heavy duty you can just use a pair of scissors, but if it's a little stronger, than you might have to use a drill.
You'll insert the end of your light kit into the hole and screw the socket back on to hold it in place.
You can cut your wire to be the length you need and then follow the instructions on your light kit to install it properly. Just make sure you turn the electricity off before you do!

This was a much cheaper solution than buying a new light and it's unique!
