Turn Fabric Scraps Into Decor Even Joanna Gaines Would Love!

If you love easy DIY projects – I’ve got a super cute and easy one. Make one for yourself, and one to give as a gift!
It’s a farmhouse wall pocket that can be made from a scrap piece of fabric, but it’s no-sew and is inexpensive to make.
You can make these any size you want, from small enough to hold a gift card to a larger size to hold bigger lightweight items.
Visit Knick of Time for the full tutorial, but here are the basic steps:

Determine what size you want your wall pocket to be. You can either cut out one piece of fabric and fold it in half (what I did), or cut two pieces of fabric the same size.

Attach iron-on adhesive on three sides of the pocket (not at the top).

Follow manufacturer's instructions on package.
Trim all four sides of the pocket with pinking scissors to give it that cute zig-zag edge.

Attach grommets on the top two corners. (click on blog link for easy photo tutorial).
Finish it off with a wire hanger and fill it up!

Because these can be made out of any style of fabric, the possibilities are endless and no two will look the same.

Not only do these look adorable as wall decor, they are perfect when you need an inexpensive gift that is easy to make.

I love anything country and old. Like basket of fabric apples, quilted stuffed hearts. Old rake hanging on my kitchen wall holding my kitchen utensils. This project just hit my heart. I have a lot of pillow ticking. You just opened up a whole ton of ideas. Am I going to make the pocket? at least 5 of them. Every Friday I go to my Sister-in-laws to have a day of sewing. My two nieces are there and my daughter when she can make it and my granddaughter. I am going to make one of these for each of them!!! Different fillers maybe, but definitely will make these. Thank you so much for sharing!!
