IF IT AIN'T BROKEN..BREAK IT!

I rarely throw anything in the trash. On that rare occasion when I do get rid of something, I have been known to dig it right back out. I love pique assiette ( making something out of broken glass..dishes) and love the sound of the words too. Makes it sound like I am doing something vey refined. Quite the opposite. Breaking dishes, mixing grout and finding anything old, rusty or discarded as my canvas is definitely not refined but it is sure fun. I used an old iron aquarium stand missing its top for this project. I had some broken dishes from a previous little mishap( and if I didn't have these, I would have had fun with a hammer) and decided to make a table for my sunroom. I would use it to to store my bird books. I think it turned out pretty good. I have used this process on birdhouses, stepping stones and plan to use it on a birdbath in the future. So don't discard anything, it may just become a piece of "art".
Love the turquois color.
Lone Star looks mighty purty.
Great storage.

can this be done on a wall?

@Susan B I think this process would look really fun on a wall. I have seen counters done in this fashion. Might need to seal it with a tile sealant for protection.
