Lantern Snow Globe

What is it about snow globes that is so fascinating? I bought this lantern at a tag sale this year and it's been sitting around the house. As I was thinking about making little glass vignettes out of just about anything, I thought this lantern would be pretty cool, too.
The biggest problem with this craft was figuring out how to close up the holes in the lantern so the fake snow wouldn't fall through. I just taped up the holes with masking tape. Voila.
I added the "snow" that I bought at Michael's, put in some little bottle brush trees and a deer and you are finished!
I also used salt shakers I bought at Christmas Tree Shop which I will post in the future. They turned into some pretty cute snow globes, too. http://www.craftsalamode.com/2016/11/snow-globe-lantern-decor.html
