No Sew Faux Fur Christmas Tree Skirt

4 Materials
Adding faux furry items to your Christmas decor gives your space a warm cozy feel. Try making this No sew Faux Tree Skirt.
First, take your 2 yards of faux fur fabric and fold into a triangle. Cut off the excess fabric as shown above. (this will make you a perfect square)
Next, fold your square fabric in half, and then in half again. Cut a length of string half the radius of the desired size of the tree skirt. Tie the string around the sharpie, and hold the end of the string at the folded point of the square.

Hold the string taught, and pull the marker along the square as shown to create 1/4 circle.
Now, cut the fabric along the line you've made one layer at a time. (the fur is thick)

TIP 1 -The secret to have minimal sheared fur edges is to slide your scissors under the fur so that you're only cutting the fabric backing.

TIP 2- Shake your fabric outside in between cutting, or have your Dyson ready! :)
Next, make a 1/4 circle at the top folded corner of your fabric using the same string method. (mine is 3" that makes a 6" circle when it is open)

Now, cut a slit in one side.

Above is how your fabric will look when it is opened.
Take your 6 pieces of 8-10" ribbon and attach to the opening of your tree skirt at the top, middle and bottom.
Finally, wrap your tree skirt around the base of your tree, tie the ribbons, and you're done!
