During this time of year, my kids and I love working on seasonal crafts together. Today, I’m going to share with you how we made a fun, festive Snowman Mason Jar Luminary. This project is perfect for keeping the kids entertained indoors on a rainy day. Want to make one of these Snowman Mason Jars for yourself? Here’s what you’ll need:
glass jar (you can re-use an old spaghetti jar)
air-dry modeling clay
orange paint
white glue
paintbrush
red ribbon
hot glue gun
salt
white glitter
googly eyes

Use the modeling clay to form a cone shape. This will be the snowman's nose.
Paint the nose orange. My daughter helped me with this step. You can even use some homemade play dough if you don't have air-dry modeling clay.
Apply decoupage medium to the outside of the glass jar. Sprinkle with salt & glitter. I always like getting the kids involved in crafty projects with me!
Use hot glue to attach the eyes, nose, and a ribbon scarf! Place a battery tea light inside the jar!
I'm really happy with how this project came together! It makes a cute addition to our living room decor. For more tips and pictures, please visit the blog post below.
