Vintage Shiny Brite Christmas Ornament Display, Wood Christmas Tree

Do we have any other Shiny Brite ornament collectors out there? I love them. I buy them all the time at thrift stores and flea markets. I love the fancy ones but I don't even care if they have any designs on them at all. The solid colors are perfect for filling in my Christmas tree.
But I wanted a way to really show off the fancy ornaments. So I put together this rustic wood Christmas tree display.
See ALL my DIY Christmas projects HERE.
Here's how the tree looked when I started:
I drilled holes in the "branches" and then brushed on some green stain. This part was super easy! The stain just brushes on and wipes off.
After it dried I screwed the Christmas tree into the back of this wooden box.

I made the ornament hooks out of some wire and attached them through the holes that I had drilled.

Now the ornaments are ready to hang on the rustic handmade ornament hooks.

I filled up the hooks with my favorite Shiny Brite ornaments and then filled the wooden box with more. And I still have BOXES and BOXES left that I haven't displayed!!!
That one with the stripes is one of my favorites. It's not the original one my grandparents had but it does look just like it!

Cute. Simple. And it would be easy to do. I think I might even be able to do this. Thank you so much for your inspiration. Happy safe holidays.
