$12
2 Hours
Easy
Rustic, junky and a bit weird. But I like my spindle Christmas tree so much I put it on the front porch.
It took two hours to make and two minutes to "hang".
Here's basically what I did;
Make a big pile of all my favorite spindles collected and leftover from other projects. A few were bought at a vintage market for a total of $12. Most were leftovers from old thrift shop tables, chairs and a baby crib along with many other projects.
The tree's "trunk" is simply a 2 by 4 board. I screwed the spindles through the back of the 2 by 4 into each spindle working down the tree.
I attached it to our house putting the "trunk" into a bucket, just for effect.
The plans in my head were to paint it, but when I was finished I liked it just as it is.
Whew! Painting spindles is hard!
