DIY FAUX FUR DOG BED – NO SEW

I feel bad you seem to have gone through that work and your cat doesn't like the bed. I feel animals are like people, they are individualists. I didn't like my first purple mattress and so I returned it. I do like the second. I think because it's not as hard. I am no expert but maybe look at your kitty bed in the same way. Maybe it's too hard or soft. Take some fluff out or add some more. Think all the stuff that you made the bed with what does it smell like? Maybe it's the smell that is driving your kitty away. I don't know how but us there someway to make your supplies smell like you? And the reason I say this is because I gave my kitties a old comforter something I use to use so it has my smell and now it's all matted with their fur. I tried to wash it twice and I dried it but that didn't work. I even dried it with pet drier sheets to take hair off your clothes. Nothing is taking the hair off the kitties comforter. I tried a lint brush, I tried wrapping duct tape around my hand and used it like a lint brush too. I have use a sweeper. I stretched it taunt and tried to sweep it. I sweep my steps covered with cat hair why won't this work too. But it doesn't for me. What do you do when your trying to clean up cat hair? I sweep every day Upstairs in the house. Maybe not as much with their comforter. Now that it's matted with hair I would like to clean it. The comforter is comfy and still in good shape I hate to toss it. It's soft like flannel and very comfy. Back to your issue I think it could be a smell issue. I have read when a animal goes missing to put a piece of clothing with your scent on it outside. I have read where people have had some success with this. It's just a idea. I hope it helps. My kitties when my contractors brought their ladders into my house and their tools my kitties would be sniffing everything up. That is why I am wondering if the smell of it might be driving them away. If you have it all together and it's too big to wash Maybe use it like a pillow or bean bag and put your scent on it and see what happens. Good luck!
