Throwing a Valentine Shindig? Here is a cute and super cheap option for decor that doubles as party favors! Using some recycled materials, you can make some fake hershey kisses that are full of sweet fun! These make for an adorable valentine garland and can also be passed out to guests, since they are filled with sweet treats!
SUPPLIES: -Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil -Several Old Soda Bottles with a "kiss" shaped top -Scissors -Valentine Ribbons -Twine -Candy
STEP 1: Cut your bottle Take an empty soda bottle and cut the top off where the shape begins to change. (I first used a knife to get through and then cut with scissors) Honestly we don't drink soda in my house, but we were able to find some sparkling water that came in bottles with the same shape top and used those for the remaining kisses.

STEP 2: Cut the foil Cut a small strip of aluminum foil. You won't need more than an inch in width.
STEP 3: Wrap twine in aluminum foil Cut a small length of twine to be used as a hanging device so cut it as long as you would like it to hang. Wrap the raw edges of your twine in the strip of aluminum foil and wad it into a ball so that it is nice and tight.
STEP 4: Add the twine to the bottle Feed the twine loop you have created through the mouth of the soda bottle top you cut. The aluminum wad will hold it in place while the twine will stick out allowing you to use it as a hanging device.
STEP 5: Fill your bottle top with candy Fill your soda bottle top with candy and fun heart messages, or with whatever you would like.
STEP 6: Cut a big piece of foil Cut a large piece of foil and center your filled soda top on the foil.
STEP 7: Wrap your bottle in foil Slowly pull the aluminum foil up the sides of the bottle top and fold it so that the long sides come up and around the mouth of the bottle and can be tucked inside to keep it in place.
STEP 8: Pinch the top Pinch any excess foil that is around the mouth of the bottle to help create the kiss shape.
STEP 9: Cut some ribbon Cut several 3-4" strips of valentine themed ribbon in a variety of colors and prints.
STEP 10: Tuck the ribbons into the bottle Tuck the ribbons (I did 3 per kiss) into the mouth of the bottle top among the foil so that it is secured in place. These will serve as the "flags" that hang from the top of real Hershey kisses.
STEP 11: Hang them up Now just string along your kisses on a piece of twine or a pompom garland and hang it where you wish!
Look at how cute these lil beans are! These would be great to give to your kids to pass out at school too!
Look at all that delicious chocolate! Who wouldn't love getting this as a valentine treat?
I mean certainly real kisses look a bit cleaner than this, but they are still a fun little decor to throw together and pass out.

These are really cute. How about adding a cardboard disc to bottom to hold shape

Instead of tying the kisses on to the strand of string, I would suggest to clip them on with re-usable mini-clothes pins. This attachment would help prevent the kisses from sliding down towards the lowest part of the string, and would make them easier for guests to remove.
