Jewelry Cabinet Sweetness

I was given this jewelry box by my niece. One side was twisted and didn't close properly so I decided to upcycle it.
Original cabinet. In excellent shape but boring.
I removed the 2 side doors but it looked off balance. My husband offered to build me 2 sets of shelves for each side.
I removed the hardware from the drawers and gave them 3 coats of Reloved chalk paint. No sanding, no priming.
Painted the cabinet with Country Chic chalk paint. No priming or sanding was done.
I absolutely love this product. It goes on like lotion. This is a 4 oz jar and I used about 2.5 oz to paint the cabinet. Nice thin coats is best.
I painted the hardware with Fusion paint, in gold. This is lovely to work with.
I wanted each drawer to be special, so I used good old green painters tape to make some designs.
All done except for the set of shelves.
We got one set of shelves done today and the other one will be ready tomorrow, but I couldn't wait to post my beautiful cabinet.
Suggested materials:
  • Country Chic, Reloved and Fusion chalk paint   (Raggs to Riches, my local retailer)
