The Candy Bar

This home already had a finished basement when we moved in, with a full bar!
Fortunately for me that is the sufficient size to store all of my candy!
Really, the bar wasn't functional for our family. But, a candy bar, that fits!
I'll show you the edited process here, but this was a two post project and you can find all the details on my blog!

Here is how it all turned out...

Let's go back to where it started...

I actually started this project by putting up decorative paper on the back of the cabinets. That was my jump off point.

Are you confused by the 70's brown selection for this new bar? I sure was! That was the next thing I tackled. I sanded, primed and painted the bar, front and back.

My next step was painting the walls that were blue, then I painted and hung letters as well as dots.

My last step was to fill and load up all of our candy!

We have family time in the basement, love to watch TV and movies together. This candy bar is fun and provides us with plenty of sweetness while we are together!

Good repurpose! :) I would do a family snack bar with a popcorn maker, microwave, fridge etc. in my house. Unfortunately sugar is not my friend. :(

  We do have a mini fridge, and we use the microwave for popcorn, but that is a great idea to add a popcorn maker. Maybe we'll look into that! I'm so sorry you and candy aren't friends! :)
