I bought this unique piece to refinish... at first I wasn't sure what to do with it but as I worked with it, it was more edgy, had a personality of a rockstar! So that's the road I decided to travel down... this piece is FULL OF NEW TECHNIQUES for me!

the white that was on this piece was done by someone else and it was a very bad application job. the piece was sanded down to remove the paint. i painted it 3 different colors before i finally liked Weathervane by Wise Owl.

I knew i wanted to add some "rock n roll" texture so I bought this roller - it's crocodile pattern. I added some texture medium to my paint and brushed it on - and rolled through

here is it..before i added any highlights to it...

definitely needed nailheads! it's rock star for crying out loud! lol

added the texture to each side of the tops... and nailheads.

added some flair to the sides of the drawers!

bought a sheet of glass and cut it myself using a glass cutter tool. then i etched it with a stencil "hello gorgeous"

also including a wooden shelf if the buyer would like to swap out the glass...

cleaned up this rusty stool with vinegar and wire brush. then i spray painted with a rust coverup spray to smooth it out before painting. applied a hammered silver spray paint to it and created an ombre effect. I added cushion to the seat and bought this awesome fabric!

Bought some GLAM knobs!

added a beautiful stencil to the sides

lined the drawers with thick wrapping paper

FINISHED PRODUCT!

What was the technique for paint on mirror, behind the stencil and drawer fronts? You did not mention.
