Have You Considered Gray Kitchen Cabinets?

With a few simple modifications to the existing cabinets in this kitchen and a couple of coats of gray paint this kitchen went from "Tuscan Villa" to "Modern and Stylish". The cabinets were a light maple with grape vine trim. The stove hood had a textured crackle finish and sconces mounted on each side. We removed the sconces and the grapevine trim, smoothed the texture and applied a few coats of paint to create this updated modern kitchen. The cabinets are painted in Sherwin Williams 7045 Intellectual Grey. The stove hood and insets are painted in Sherwin Williams 7046 Anonymous. All the cabinets received a light distressing and a smoky glaze.

We used two Sherwin Williams paint colors to update this former Tuscan style kitchen.
We made several updates to the cabinets including removing the sconces and grapevine trim, smoothing the crackle texture and painting the cabinets.
We chose to add a second color to the inset panels to make them pop and add visual interest.

We used a color one shade darker than the cabinets on the stove hood to add a little contrast and make it a focal point.
